Intrigue pioneered the improv competition format in 2010. Dancers compete in 45-second freestyle rounds to randomly selected music. No choreography, no preparation. Just you and the music. Scored on a 1.00 to 5.00 point system.

Rules & Guidelines
Each dancer performs a 45-second freestyle with a 10-second countdown. Music is randomly selected for each dancer by the DJ.
Mini (9 & under), Junior (10-12), Teen (13-15), Senior (16-21).
Scored on a 1.00-5.00 point system. Judges evaluate musicality, creativity, technique, and performance quality.
No pre-planned choreography. No acrobatic tricks longer than 8 counts.
No on-site registration available. Must register through DanceComp Genie prior to the event.

Any and all styles are welcome. Judges look for authenticity, musicality, and creativity, not a specific style.
The Mini division accepts ages 9 and under. All ages are welcome to compete.
Division winners receive an exclusive Intrigue T-shirt and recognition at the awards ceremony.
