To all of our Intrigue attendees and families,
We hope that you are all safe and well given the circumstances of this situation. We’d like to thank everyone that has been a part of our Virtual Events. As much as we have been enjoying these events and have been in absolutely awe of the talent of every attendee, we are eager to get back to our in-person events. As you may already know, the remaining regional events of the 2019-2020 tour have either been postponed or cancelled. For more information on a specific city, please see the Tour Dates page. For all rescheduled dates, we have put new protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.
-We are asking all attendees who show any symptom of Covid-19, or who have been around anyone with Covid-19 in the two weeks leading up to the event, to not attend the event. Our faculty and staff will do the same.
-Face masks will be required for all attendees, including parents. Dancers will only be permitted to remove face masks any time they are dancing, whether it be in class or on stage. Our faculty and staff will also be wearing masks. Faculty will remove masks when teaching on stage.
-In order to limit the occupancy of each ballroom, we will not allow observers during classes. This will help to give dancers the optimal amount of space to continue practicing social distancing. We will allow teachers and studio owners to be in the rooms. We will work with studios to allow a limited number of designated assistants to be in the room to help watch over your children. We will have designated Intrigue Team Members monitoring the classrooms to help out should any dancer need anything. This policy will be strictly enforced.
-As always, our competition and shows will be live-streamed. We will be limiting the audience to Studio Owners, Teachers, and designated studio assistants. The theatre chairs will be set to follow the guidelines of social distancing.
-Dressing room spaces will be expanded to as many locations as possible to help comply with social distancing.
-All awards and scholarships will be awarded without physical contact. Award ceremonies will be live-streamed, and studios will receive all physical awards at the end of the event.
-We will be going cashless. We will only accept cards and contactless forms of payment such as ApplePay.
-Hotels and venues have increased their sanitation services to provide us with the safest environment possible.
-We encourage all attendees to practice frequent and proper hand washing as well as carrying their own hand sanitizers and disinfectants as they see fit.
With these new protocols in place, we are doing our best to create the safest environment for our attendees. We are working diligently to get back to dancing with you all. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Pending any new developments, our National event in Orlando, FL July 8th-12th is still happening as scheduled. We are communicating with the venue and creating a new structure for the event to ensure that we are following the guidelines of occupancy limits and social distancing. More information is coming soon. We are extremely hopeful that this event will happen, with our main focus on the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Parents, please reach out to your studio owners if you have any questions or concerns regarding our events, as they may already know the answer, or they can reach out to us.
We miss you all dearly, and can not wait to get back to dancing with you soon! Until then, don’t forget to Dance Different.
